A scrap machine designed used in a single rail gang operation to pick up tie plates. This machine utilizes crawlers on the side where the rail is removed and employs a 7 1/2" wide wheel that picks up tie plates and loads them onto a conveyor which can accumulates plates to be dumped in piles or distributes the plates along the shoulder. The machine is controlled from a platform at the rear of the machine and is self propelled in work mode and designed to be towed when not in use.
