The Dual Rail Tie Plugger is a custom built machine for use on the Norfolk Southern dual rail gang. The machine utilizes two pairs of wheels on each axle to allow the machine to travel on standard gauge track as well as the temporary narrow gauge track that is used in the rail replacement process. A two part chemical plugging system manufactured by The Willammette Valley Company is used to plug the existing spike holes.
